Registrations closed
As the website has reached 20,000+ users we have decided to suspend user creation.
As we’re working on the new version of the website we’re also looking into some of the performance issues of the current one, and having lots of new users being created every day wouldn’t really help.
We do apologize for the inconvenience, but we are working hard on it.
We temporarily replaced the registration page with a form so you can take a number (well, not really a number, we just take your address and assign it a number).
As soon as we’re ready to accommodate more accounts, we’ll email those addresses in the order we received them.
Oh yeah, thanks for working so hard to upgrade this website, keep going!

Everything will be migrated into the new database. We’re doing this exactly to improve the performance.

We are still working on the performance issues and we don’t have any estimate on when it will all be ready.

I’ve been having terrible performance for the last couple of weeks, more than half of the time the website doesn’t even open, and other times it takes minutes to start. So sad.
I’m actually not experiencing many performance issues. But I guess that’s due to the fact that I live in Germany and am ahead of the US 6-9 hours. So when I’m online, most of the world isn’t. The entire internet just slows down when it gets night here
Then I do have issues on this site.
Nevertheless I just can’t stop using it. I don’t quite recall when I signed up, but I wouldn’t regret it for a second. I could never quite remember what episode would be the next one on my list and I ended up watching the beginnings of lots of them twice.
Thanks for the great site and I’m (as many others) really looking forward to the update. Keep up the great work!

We know they’re working on it and it’s perfectly understandable, but it is not okay to make us wait forever, IMHO.
We are first trying to improve the website for our current users. Only when we have certainty that the website can hold a few more thousand users will we open the registrations again.
At the same time, we are working on a new version of the website that will address all these issues.

It’s a real shame that signup is still locked. I came across this today and I’d really like to use the system, but being a developer who has had to optimize a DB I know how fun scalability can be. Are all 20k users active? If you purge some inactive users after emailing them a warning maybe that’d open up some room for some new users.

Hello.
Sorry for not giving feedback in the last few months.
The good news: The website is stable enough for our current users. The frequent fails are now more rare and everything is working fine.
The bad news: We cannot open the registrations just yet because we don’t know how the website will behave with another 10.000+ users all coming in at the same time.
The not so bad news: We will slowly start sending invitation codes to those who pre-registered.
So will registration be open anytime soon?
